Dog Therapy and Training
Bodmer

Since early childhood, Monika Bodmer's life was marked by violence, sexual abuse, and neglect. Her mother was torn from her life by a third party. She found refuge, shelter, and security only with dogs. They saved her life, she says today. The animals helped her process what she had experienced and reconnect with people. Today, she helps children who have experienced similar trauma through her association ABRI, which she founded in 2010. She has created a place of security where children can build trust and gather positive experiences through animal-assisted encounters with dogs, turtles, guinea pigs, and horses, helping them process difficult experiences. She and her dedicated team of two and four legged companions are also there for sick and elderly people or those at the end of life.
