The Bodmer dog therapy and school offers the courses that have been mandatory for the Canton of Zurich since June 1, 2025, according to §13 of the Dog Ordinance (HuV).

The theory course comprises 2 hours of knowledge about dogs. The exam can be taken immediately afterwards.

Tuesday, July 28th, 7-9 pm

The theory course is mandatory for people living in the canton of Zurich who are either first-time dog owners or people who have not had a dog for over 10 years (until 2015).

​

The course and the exam must be completed within 1 year before to 2 months after acquiring the dog.

​

For dog owners who received their dog before June 1, 2025, the following mandatory courses apply:

• Puppy development

• Puppy course

• Parenting course
