The Bodmer dog therapy and school offers the courses that have been mandatory for the Canton of Zurich since June 1, 2025, according to §13 of the Dog Ordinance (HuV).

Learning objectives:

• Promoting bonding and relationships

• Recognizing and understanding the dog's body language

• Enabling dog owners to provide basic training for their dogs

• Humane and safe handling, even in challenging situations

• Teaching methods for getting a dog used to a muzzle

Practical dog training is mandatory for all persons who take over a dog in the canton of Zurich from June 1, 2025.

​

Must be completed for dogs no earlier than after they have reached 6 months of age and 12 months after the start of dog ownership or after moving to the canton of Zurich.
